This is us in rehearsals for a show in May 2019 where we played the Black Fingernails, Red Wine album in full in Fremantle.

We were also stealing moments to write Say Something as it was a rare moment in the same city with a piano at hand. We totally re wrote the verse melody and chords that day while preparing for our show that night. We ended up recording Say Something in Melbourne 8 months later where we wrote the last piece of the puzzle (the BOMBASTIC post chorus sections). So really, it took us well over a year to write the song 😮 As it happens, we’re all in Perth right now so wish us luck with writing new music while the going’s good! X Joel.
